Cleves Time Trial MOVIE:

Dear QCW Members:

Sam Lowe a QCW member, who has worked in Marketing and PR for 30 years and is a filmmaker has decide to create a movie about the Cleves Time Trial Series.  He will start filming this year and the project will be in production through 2016.

Sam will begin filming with cameras and audio set up at different locations throughout the course over the coming months.  We are giving Sam free reign to do what he can to produce a great film.  If you are selected to be an internet film star (in a good way), you will be asked to sign a release.  You are under no obligation to participate in this project, please let Sam know if you would prefer not to have your image included.   A couple of other things:

  •         Don't be surprised if, for the balance of this season and into the 2016 TT season, a number of cameras and audio recorders appear at the course
  •         The aim is to showcase the history and wide-ranging appeal of the TT
  •         Anyone who has any kind of historical materials dating back however far is invited to contact Sam. All stories are welcome.
  •         If you have pictures of the history, please contact Sam as well.
  •         Sam will be soliciting certain people for interviews, and even one or two for a day-long "shadowing." That means from morning of TT through to end of TT. The point is to show how cycling non-professionals nonetheless fit in a grueling TT in addition to their day jobs and normal life.
  •         If you agree to this level of documentary invasion in exchange for a little stardom, Sam will ask you to sign a talent release.
  •         There is no deadline for this project.
  •         It may well take through the 2016 season to shoot, and months more to edit

Here is Sam's contact information.  Please copy me on all correspondence with Sam.
