Founded in 1972, the Queen City Wheels is Cincinnati's first and largest racing club. We are affiliated with USA Cycling, the governing body for amateur, professional and Olympic cycling in the United States. We hope to help all our members reach their competitive cycling goals. Our youth programs help teenagers and children find the joy in racing a bicycle while our racing teams help support the developing rider and seasoned veteran alike.
Sponsored Racing Team
Annually Queen City Wheels promotes more events in Greater Cincinnati than any other club to ensure a rich racing environment for our members, and the rest of the racing community. Our events are open to anyone interested in pursuing the thrill of bicycle racing and include the following:
The Cleves Tuesday Night Time Trial Series is a 10.2 mile race against the clock which originated in 1974. This west side event has been a favorite among licensed racers and local enthusiasts with nearly 2000 individuals testing themselves over the years.
The Ault Park Points Race Series is Cincinnati’s longest running training race series which we began promoting in its 20th year. This six week event in May and June has a two events for beginner racers and another for the more experienced riders. Featuring high speed sprints every five laps it’s unrivaled for its intense racing action!
Our Spring Time Trial Series is an event we added to the Cincinnati schedule in 2009. This longer time trial event, held monthly from March through June, gives riders a chance to race and train at the distance they will compete in at the State and National championships.
The Lawrenceburg Whiskey City Twilight Challenge criterium race was founded in 2015. This high-speed event brings together some of the top amateur and professional teams to Lawrenceburg Indiana each June.
Funding for many of our club events and both our racing teams is provided through the generous support of our sponsors. The sponsors listed below have made a three year commitment to the club through 2015. There are other types of sponsroship with complete information available here.
