Spring Time Trial Series
Race #3
Oldenburg, IN
May 20, 2017
10:00 AM

REGISTRATION / PARKING
Holy Family Church
22140 Main St.
Oldenburg, IN  47036
Participants should park in the lot on the east side of the church, left of the main entrance, which is on Main Street.  On site registration will be available starting at 9:00 AM.  Riders are expected to attend a brief pre-event meeting at 9:45 where start times will be assigned.  The actual Start/Finish line is located at the corner of Werner and Water Sts. (about ½ mile from registration).  For those who are interested, Wagner’s Village Inn (world famous for pan fried chicken) is only a few blocks away and would be a good option for a post-race lunch.

RESTROOMS
No restroom facilities on site.  The closest available restrooms are approximately three blocks west on Main St. (Pierson’s Spirits next to Marathon Station or Wagner’s).

COURSE DETAILS
This is an out-and-back route that follows St. Mary’s Road which meanders about the beautiful Indiana countryside.  It is an open road with generally light traffic and speed limits that range from 25 to 45 mph.  The course begins/ends just outside of Oldenburg with a turnaround on the outskirts of Brookville.  There are no traffic lights or stop signs along the route.

This 28.8 mile course is the most difficult of the series with a number of light to heavy rollers and a few decent climbs thrown in just to keep it interesting.  It is also a somewhat technical course with bends in the road which WILL require braking.  Some riders may not wish to drag their heavy TT bikes around this course and elect, instead, to use their road bike (and maybe some snap-on aero bars).
