Team QCW Membership Open to Everyone
Regardless of whether you qualify for a free Team QCW kit membership to the team remains open year round to anyone who races in the Team QCW kit, purchases a QCW membership, lists Queen City Wheels as their team on their USAC license, and completes a rider bio. No rider contract is required for riders purchasing their own kit and they still qualify for all other Team QCW benefits. Riders competing in non-USAC sanctioned events such as triathlons are not required to wear the Team QCW kit in those events and may belong to other non-USAC affiliated teams.
Juniors age 10 to 18 FREE Kit
Junior
riders age 10 to 18 who are interested in racing for Team QCW are
eligible for a free Team QCW shorts and jersey. Recipients of this
benefit will also be reimbursed for all of their entry fees up to the
standard $550. This benefit is open to any licensed Junior rider living
in the greater Cincinnati area. Interested riders should contact the
Team Director and provide a completed Free Kit Rider Bio application, upon approval
they will receive a rider contract to sign. Age eligibility is determined by your road racing age or cyclocross racing age depending on what type of racing you will be doing.
Giant Bike “Pro Deal”
This is done once in the fall on an annual basis. Bike rewards normally only Cat 1 teams achieve! Giant Bicycles administered through Montgomery Cyclery have partnered with Queen City Wheels to supply bicycles for the race team at unheard of discounts for the next 3 years. The agreement also described as a “Pro Deal” or “Grass Roots Program” is normally reserved for the most elite programs in cycling circles and are now available to our qualifying members. Complete bicycle deals so good we can’t share all the details until you join.

Entry Fee Reimbursement
There are two ways to qualify for reimbursement; both require a minimum of 1 Event Point earned through volunteering:
1. Race any combination of USAC road, cyclocross and mountain bike races, for which you will earn “Event Points” based on the schedule listed below. Your total “Event Points” will determine your entry fee reimbursement level.
2. Race 10
cyclocross and/or mountain bike races and you will be reimbursed up to
$150 of your entry fees. This does NOT require scoring ANY “Event Points”
in road events. Simply ride 10 USAC cyclocross and/or mountain bike
races and you’re eligible for reimbursement regardless of whether or not
you score 20 Event Points. You must earn at least 1 Event Point by volunteering. Every 2 points you earn working our events will reduce your 10 race minimum by 1.
Entry Fee Reimbursement Schedule
20 Event Points = $150
30 Event Points = $250

U/23 and Junior Team QCW Riders
U/23 and Junior riders when wearing the Team QCW kit, will earn points at DOUBLE the rate of Senior riders. i.e. Ault Park=6pts, Hyde Park Blast=4pts, other USAC races=2pts.
U/23 riders may race collegiate events in their university race kits, which also will not earn them “event points."
NOTE: Juniors age 10 to 18 participating in the FREE Kit program do not need to earn points for entry fee reimbursement, other than 1 point for volunteering.

Free QCW Race Entries
Team QCW riders’ entry fees are waived to as many QCW promoted events like Ault Park, Lionhearts Grand Prix, Spring Series, District Road Race and Time Trials as they choose. Riders should try to pre-register, but should NOT pay an entry fee. Check with individual event promoters for how they will handle QCW rider registration. It’s our hope that riders will show up in large numbers for QCW events. Wearing the team kit is mandatory for free entry.
USA Cycling Training Camp Subsidy
Eligible team members attending an approved USA Cycling training camp will be reimbursed for 50% of the cost (up to $250).
Montgomery Cyclery Discount
Team riders are eligible for a 20% discount off of merchandise at any of the six Montgomery Cyclery locations. This discount does not apply to bicycles, but riders are free to work with Montgomery Cyclery on specific bicycle purchases.
Priority Bicycle Servicing at Montgomery Cyclery
Priority 72 hour turnaround on repairs not requiring special order parts.
Free Replacement Clothing
Team riders will be eligible for replacement of one crash damaged pair of shorts and one jersey each year. Clothing must have holes or be significantly damaged to qualify. Generally a pair of shorts that hits the pavement is probably going to tear, but a jersey may only be scuffed and not torn significantly. Replacements will be approved by a club director. Riders will be required to turn over the damaged clothing in exchange for new clothing at the discretion of the director in charge. Normal wear and tear of clothing is not covered.
Discounted Coaching
Cinci Cycling Coach is owned by Cincinnati’s highest rated USA Cycling licensed coach Peter Wimberg. Through Cinci Cycling Coach the club provides free coaching clincs and discounted coaching programs.
