With much anticipated excitement, QCW is pleased to announce the Kings CXTT is back for 2012. Enclosed are the details for the Kings CXTT sponsored by QCW. We are looking forward to another great year of cyclocross racing. These pre-season training sessions have played a big part in the success of our CX racers here in Cincinnati. We have decided to keep the training rides to six weeks this year to capture as much daylight as possible. We will be racing on Wednesday nights at the old Kingswood Golf Course in the Deerfield Township. The individual team set up that was started last year really brought out some creative courses and it is the heart of the CXTT this year. Each week a different local race team will create a unique course for the series.
Dates 8/8 Biowheels Race Team 8/15 7 Hills Racing 8/22 Team Hungry 8/29 Team Dayton 9/5 QCW/Lionhearts 9/12 Rogue Racing 513
Registration Like last year, the registration will be through QCW membership. QCW memberships through bikereg.com enrollment. The cost for a one year membership is as follows: $30 family, $20 individual, and $10 Junior (10-22). So, for an individual who races the six events would pay $3.33 per race. Each rider must bring a completed QCW TT Series release form. Copies of the TT Series Release Form will be at the event as well. Please have them completed prior to attending the training ride. Completed forms can be faxed in advance to (310) 974 5716, scanned and sent to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it , or brought to the event.
Best Course Award New this year - the team voted with the best course design, "spirit", and creativity will earn the CXTT Best Course Creators Title, bragging rights for one year, and earn prizes of unspeakable value at the end of the series (think beverages and snacks). Team winner will be announced via Facebook.
The course will be marked with small cones and maybe caution tape. Due to the length of the 2.5 to 3.5 mile course we cannot tape the entire course, so we expect everyone to be an upstanding citizen when riding the course. If you are on pavement, you probably aren’t quite in the right place. We strongly encourage all riders to pre-ride the course every week, since it will be different each week.
Due to the nature of the multi-lap approach, you will pass
other riders. Please be courteous and alert each other that you are
passing. There is plenty of room for everyone to get around each other,
and remember that no pro scouts that we know of will be attending these events
and looking for talent. Riders will start every 20 seconds from the
clubhouse.
