Here's the latest news from Team QCW CX...

Hey there Team QCW!
Entering the final 4 races of the Ohio Valley Cyclocross (OVCX) season I wanted to provide a quick update on how the adult (kids at heart) 'crossers are doing.
The results have been awesome with multiple Cat's having QCW riders representing. The Cat 3's (45+) races saw a surge of activity from the likes of Chip Ellison, Jon Spicker, Scott Nichols & Doug Dobrozsi. It was a blast to see these guys out there slinging mud with the best of them!
Jaime Williamson continues to consistently build on his great first season of CX racing in the top quarter of the HUGE Men's Cat 4-Open group (160+ riders strong!).
The competition is heating up in the Men's Cat 4-35+ group with 3 QCW riders in the Top 10 overall. Scott "Sparky" Lyle is currently 4th and charging for a spot on the podium at the series finale in Louisville. "Sparky" had a breakout ride in Columbus last week where he placed 2nd overall and had the QCW colors on the podium. Some guy named Jerry is hanging around in 8th overall (crediting it all to some great teamwork in the Pits at Lexington). And screaming up the series board is Matt Steirwalt in 10th overall. Matt also grabbed a podium position for QCW at the Lexington Promotion-Cross race. Joining in the fun over the last races also included: James O'Loughlin, Robert Prewitt, Dave Schell and Dan Klocke.
And finally the Men Cat 4-45+ racers. Where John Rademacher is having a great season and currently in 4th overall and is also making a run at a top spot in the Series. Rounding out this Cat is also Dell Williamson who had a season best showing (5th Place) at the brutal Gun Club race (a.k.a mudapolooza).
I mentioned Teamwork above. I have to give a shoutout to Jon Spicker and Dan Lach (Cyclesports). After I had a mechanical (bent chain) with 3 laps to go; Jon & Dan asked if I needed a bike change and made their way quickly to the pits. With Jon's bike. After a rather delusional exchange (due to me) I was able to chase back to finish in 8th place and gain points back. On my Teammate's bike. If I was an unattached rider I likely would have taken a DNF (and lost 30 pts!).  Just an example of the power of Teamwork!
I know I have likely missed somebody (sorry!) If I have Please add to this thread and keep the good karma going!

Here's a link to the full OVCX series results .

Till next time- Good Luck to all of the racer's!!!!!
