We are pleased to announce that the QCW Spring Time Trial Series will return to Cleves again in 2014.

The purpose of the 33k Time Trial Series is to give our members an opportunity for training at a distance which is greater than what is typically available in this area.  It more closely replicates the distances that you might expect at the District or National Time Trial Championships.  This event is also great experience for road racers who want to improve their skills at breakaways or bridging the gap back to the peloton after being dropped (should that ever happen to any of us!).

However, do NOT be intimidated into thinking this event is only for serious, experienced racers.  The vast majority of participants (ages 16-65) have never competed in a mass start road race nor do they wish to do so.  They simply use this event to measure improvement in their overall fitness level.  They are competing against their own best times!

As in past years, the series willinclude four events which will be held on the second Saturday of each month from March through June on an out-and-back course on Brower Rd. between North Bend and Cleves, OH.  Dates are as follows:

         1. Saturday, March 8                                        3.  Saturday, May 10th
         2. Saturday, April 12                                         4.  Saturday, June 14th

This is a simple out and back course which utilizes the same roads as the popular summer Cleves Tuesday Night Time Trial series.  In fact, the start/finish line is the same as the finish line for the Summer Cleves TT series.  There are no traffic signals or stop signs and no possibility of straying off course.  Traffic is very light with speed limits no greater than 35 mph.  This is a flat to moderately rolling course with a maximum gradient of 3-4%.
